Instructions
- Today we want you to try one of our favorite recipes, Jalapeno stuffed with scamorza and sausage. The jalapeno JalapenoĀ is a chili pepper of Mexican origin that is widely used in cooking because of its enormous versatility and exceptional flavor.Ā The recipe we are going to describe does not require much cooking experience and is very quick to make. First we are going to select about 12 or so fairly ripe Jalapeno peppers. How to recognize a ripe Jalapeno pepper? The Jalapeno has the characteristic that when it reaches full ripeness streaks begin to appear in the fruit itself, as soon as we see them we are sure that the chile is ripe enough and is ready to be cooked.First we will go to empty the'inside of the chili. Operation to be carried out strictly with latex or nitrile gloves, even if it is a not very hot chili pepper contact with the skin can cause unpleasant skin irritation. Helping ourselves with a knife we will cut the'end of the chili, from the petiole side, and carefully extract the part of the placenta with all the seeds.Ā At this point we are going to prepare the filling, in a dish we will cut the scamorza cheese into as small pieces as possible, we will do the same with the sausage.Ā We insert the filling inside the chili by pressing down with our fingers to be able to get as many ingredients in as possible. In a dish we beat two eggs and add salt and pepper to taste. We take the jalapenos and pass them in the'beaten egg and immediately afterwards in the breadcrumbs. We repeat this at least twice, waiting about 10 minutes for the outer mixture to dry out more. During the breadcrumbs we pay special attention to the incised part of the japeno, we will have to be able to create a resistant cap for the next cooking phase.Ā Now we are ready to bake our Jalapeno. The recipe calls for frying the chili in hot oil for a few minutes. Alternatively, they can be baked in the oven for about 20 minutes at 180°.Ā Now all you have to do is sit down, uncork a good cold beer, and enjoy this delicious appetizer-starter. Let us know if you enjoyed them.Ā
