Curiosity: It takes its name from the Mexican city "Jalapa." It is the most widely used hot pepper in Mexican cuisine because of its versatility and mild spiciness. It takes the name Chilipote when it is sun-dried and smoked.

Fruit characteristics: It has a conical shape, is 3 to 7-8 cm long, and has thick and firm flesh. After ripening it can take on a color ranging from dark green to bright red; it has several cracks in the skin.

Pepper Maremma recommends itChili pepper with very low spiciness, ideal for those who are new to spicy or those with very low capsaicin tolerance. Intense and sharp flavor that can give the dish a very special taste. Recommended on bean dishes, on boiled vegetables and light cheeses.
